"The impact of his work is eye-catching and he has a good work method."
I did not design a large number of websites in 2007, however this is not to say that I did not take on a lot of web-related work. During 2007, I worked largely on the top-level Concordia University website (a new revision to be released late this summer based on some user-testing we conducted recently), along with a website generator and web-templates for the university. I have also been occupied with judging some major web-awards, including the Canadian New Media awards and the WebAwards, and developing Facebook applications for Apathy is Boring. Most recently, I've been working with Concordia's Marketing department to develop the university's new ad campaign as well as a visual identity for Concordia's Fine Arts department. I expect 2008 to hold even more opportunities to work on even more exciting projects.
This is the top-level Concordia University website. This site is over 10 times larger than the previous one, and performs significantly better with respect to accessibility and search engine results. Though it performed well during recent user-testing, we are still currently just a quarter of the way into its complete re-design. Expect a new revision before the fall semester. Visit the Concordia University website here.
The Concordia Journal is the community newspaper of the University. It is published 18 times during the academic year on a bi-weekly basis by the Internal & Web Communications Department of Concordia University. Visit the Concordia Journal website here.
This is the first administrative site to be based on the templates I designed for Concordia University. All future Concordia websites will be built based on these templates. This particular site is packed with accessibility features, as well as an experts database, hot topics system, subscription forms, and even an administrative back end. To top if all off, it will feed the new Concordia website with news. Visit the Media Relations website here.
This is a revamp of the previous website. This design now includes feature events, archive search, and some accessibility tools. Visit the CAPS website here.
This website, along with a HTML e-mail, marked the the official online launching of Concordia University's new branding. Regardless of being a rushed job, and being designed and built in under 8 hours, this website was featured on TVA news and in various newspapers. Visit the site here.
As part of the Marketing Committee, this website was the home for the very popular CASE conference and served the over-1400 attendees. This web design sports standards-compliant code and is backed-up by a MySQL backend, and sports a slideshow to boot. Visit the CASE conference website here.
With many dynamic slide shows, this website acts primarily as a promotional piece to showcase the many buildings that Concordia Univeristy owns, constructs and maintains. Visit Building Concordia here.
My blog (read:soap box) about my views on web design practices and news. I also aim to improve Montreal-area designed website quality by regularly auditing sites produced by Montreal's bigger web-firms. Visit my blog here.
