This one is for all my friends who have worked as teachers. Having only taught a handful of times at the graduate level, I feel lucky to have avoided these issues. But I’ve heard enough stories from friends that have taught high school and college that convince me that parents need to start doing their fair share in helping their children develop in the education system. This includes stopping their tendencies to make excuses for them.

Having seen my fair share of presentations, I can truly say I’ve seen all of these and have been guilty of a few myself. Presenting is something you improve on with time and practice. But for those truly looking to improve, seek out constructive feedback. We are the worst judge of our own presentation skills. What you may think was a home run, could in reality be complete suckage.
